Mountain Cove

The Show Barn

The Show Barn

Between 1947 and 1967, Mountain Cove was the site every Labor Day weekend of the annual Southeastern Rodeo.  The large barn was a focal point of the working farm, also providing a popular place to have stock shows where, among other stock, the famous prize-winning Hereford cattle and Duroc hogs owned by the Dubois and Bible families of Mountain Cove Farms competed for blue ribbons.  The “Show Barn” has been transformed into a glittering, upscale rustic event venue for wedding receptions, anniversary parties, and other events accommodating up to 300 people.
